Professor at the Department of Anthropology and Coordinator of the Postgraduate Programme in Social Anthropology at the Federal University of Amazonas. Coordinator of the Anthropology of Life, Ecology and Politics Laboratory – COLAR. He has been conducting anthropological research and projects with indigenous peoples and traditional communities in the Brazilian Amazon and Atlantic Forest since 1998. His research themes are on environment, knowledge, territorialities and political ecology.

Indigenous Wirãgo DUHPOTIRÓ PORÃ (Dessano) woman. Master’s student in Social Anthropology at UFAM. Administrator of the Centro de Medicina Indígena Bahserikowi. Research topics include: Indigenous women specialists, body care technologies, and medicinal plants.

Full Professor in the Departamento de Antropologia at UFAM and coordinator of the Núcleo de Estudos da Amazônia Indígena (NEAI). Research topics include: Indigenous groups and their relationship with plants and Amazonian landscapes; modes of plant transformation and Indigenous cosmotechnics; and the development of anthropological knowledge produced by Indigenous students in the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Antropologia Social at UFAM.
